Yar har!
Hmmmm... benchmarks...
How about Penny Arcade and MacHall as examples of decently put together web-comics. Kiwis By Beat, Giant in the Playground, Thrilled and Dayfree Press as examples of sites that combine multiple titles. Also, Neostream for the just plain coolness.
Oh, I guess my current site should also be a benchmark, seeing as my job's really not done unless I get a better result this time.
PS. Looking For Group is another well-put-together comic, and their front page setup is rather interesting. Also, Leo Burnett is another website for the "cool" pile.

benchmarks: a catalyst of desire
the fact is i could go for a very long time listing
benchmarks that i believe are pretty strong. In
some cases it is not the site itself, it is what is
inside the site that must be considered. What
do you see that holds value.
you may have seen some of these benchmarks
already, however there are quite a few are you
may have not seen which are prety ingenious.
enjoy.

Zune commercial vs iPod
This should be a good comparison.
Microsoft Zune commercial and iPod commercial.
What do you guys think about the zune identity... i think its awesome. As in we get to even bitch more against MS.
And this is worth a watch as well.

Craig Ferguson takes twice on Microsoft
oh boy oh boy... poor Bill Gates. Should we feel bad for him. hahaha! Seems like the world is after him. Craig Ferguson takes on Bill two times.
First against Microsoft's Zune MP3 Player
"Microsoft, Wake up and smell defeat"
Second, against Microsoft's planned Zune Phone.
"iPhone spanks Microsoft"
And Letterman too takes on Bill with his Tribute.
(this is old but still one of the best).

Cute... to the EXTREME!
I wonder, perhaps, if you've seen this? It's another little thing for the PS3. It looks pretty impressive, though let's be clear about this, not quite "$700+game" impressive.

What do you mean it's a period?
Howdy...
Here's me postcard...
There's an issue with the narration on this. I've tried to figure it out but it doesn't like me. I can provide a transcript (as I have on the CD I've handing in) if required.
Anyway, cheers.

Hahaha!
I'm sure this is old news by now, but I just saw the first Mac vs. PC ad that both makes Macs look good, AND is firmly anchored in reality. Weird, I know, but check it out.

Gentlemen ... BEHOLD!
I've got a preliminary version of my Postcard done and uploaded to my own server space. For next week, I need to make some minor tweaks and put it up on the OCAD server.
Here's the link to the current edition.
Enjoy.

PS, the title of this post is not meant to be sexist. It is a reference to Aqua Teen Hunger Force, which features opening scenes with a mad scientist named Dr. Weird. Each such scene depicts him shouting "Gentlemen ... BEHOLD!" before revealing his latest invention or evil plan.

New Multi Touch Technology
I am sure many of you saw the clip of multi touch computer demonstrated by Jeff Han before, and this is a new video. Simply amazing.
